Sharon St. John

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Health Education and Sociology from Central Washington University in 1970. In 1986, I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.
Renowned for its excellence in psychotherapeutic counseling education and training, Idaho State University provided me with a rigorous and comprehensive academic experience.
The knowledge and skills I gained during my graduate studies have been instrumental in preparing me to deliver effective counseling services to individuals facing a diverse array of challenges, including trauma, ADHD, women’s issues, and intergenerational wounds. Cerifications

Sharon St. John is a dedicated mental health professional specializing in trauma therapy. During her graduate studies, she developed a deep understanding of PTSD through her work at the Pocatello Vet Center, which inspired her to focus on treating trauma in her counseling career. Recognizing the importance of staying up-to-date with the most effective therapeutic approaches, Sharon pursued advanced training in specialized modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). With a wealth of experience addressing various types of trauma, ranging from accidents and natural disasters to domestic violence and abuse, Sharon remains committed to helping her clients navigate the healing process with empathy and expertise. Her extensive knowledge and dedication to continued learning make her a valuable asset in the field of trauma counseling.
