Sharon St. John

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Health Education and Sociology from Central Washington University in 1970. In 1986, I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.
Renowned for its excellence in psychotherapeutic counseling education and training, Idaho State University provided me with a rigorous and comprehensive academic experience.
The knowledge and skills I gained during my graduate studies have been instrumental in preparing me to deliver effective counseling services to individuals facing a diverse array of challenges, including trauma, ADHD, women’s issues, and intergenerational wounds.

The field of therapy is constantly evolving, and new research and techniques are being developed all the time. As a therapist, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychotherapy modalities through continuing education is crucial to providing effective treatment to clients.

Sharon St. John is a mental health professional specializing in trauma therapy. Her graduate work at the Pocatello Vet Center deepened her understanding of PTSD and inspired her to focus on trauma treatment. She has advanced training in EMDR, NLP, and CBT to ensure she uses the most effective therapeutic approaches. With extensive experience addressing trauma from accidents, natural disasters, domestic violence, and abuse, Sharon is committed to guiding clients through healing with empathy and expertise. Her knowledge and dedication make her a valuable asset in trauma counseling.
